I know it's been like 2 months since i have posted anything on this blog. Well Skylair broke our keyboard back in April, and what he broke was the space bar so it was virtually impossible to post anything on here without a adequately working space bar. But, now im back and have oh so much to post about!! LOL....So lets go back......
The last time that i had posted anything on here it was back in Mid-April i believe. Since then Skylair has turned 4 years old. We had his birthday party at Funderland this year. None of his friends from school were able to make it, which he was a tad bit sad about; but it all worked out none the less. It has been nothing but GO-G0-GO for us the past couple of months. Donald Lost his job, both of them, back in Mid-May, well the first one was lost in the beginning of April but we weren't too worried about that because he was working the second job and they were starting to give him a lot of hours. Anywho, he got let go from his second job at the end of May. Which really came as a surprise and major blow to us....now we have no Employment income coming into the house at all whatsoever. He has been looking all over the place for work, but its really hard right now. It seems like where ever he applies they end up telling him that they have filled the position. I don't know if i should be upset or thankful for that in the end. Because i had my Pacemaker Surgery on June 4th and i really haven't been able to do much around the house or with the kids since then. So maybe everything is just working out the way that it was always meant to be.....if Donald was working, part-time or full-time, then i'd be really screwed.....i would probably have needed family members to constantly be around or i would've had to applied for a Home Health nurse or something. This is because i am not allowed to hype-extend my arms, either arm, until my next Adult Cardiology Appointment in September.
About the Pacemaker surgery, i know that i had said that it was initially scheduled for May 5th, then it got re-scheduled for May 11th.....well in the end i didn't even get to have my surgery completed until June 4th!!! What the hell right?! Well this stupid Bitch that works in Scheduling doesn't know how to do her damn job properly, and she just kept fucking up one thing or another. It was so stressful. I did end up calling patient relations with the hospital to complain about her and her work ethics and she has had some meetings with her boss and my doctors regarding her ability to do her job. I know this might sound like a bitch thing to say, but i hope she gets fired! Because that was just ridiculous!! I don't know how any of you would feel about it but i was fucking heated.....I had the surgery done on Friday June 4th. I was very prepared for the surgery and everything leading up to it, however i was NOT prepared for the amount of swelling and pain that followed for the following WEEK after the surgery. I was taking Vicodin every couple of hours and taking 800mg IB Profin in between that!! It was unreal. I remember calling the doctors on the Monday following my procedure crying saying that Vicodin is a weak ass pain pill and asking where the hell my percocet was!!! Yeah, of course i didn't get it, huh? Well it has been 2 weeks now since my procedure and i am feeling a lot better....i took a super long walk up to DHA by Skylairs' school with Izzy the other day and i was proud i was able to make the walk, about 20 blocks there and back. I am still sore, and can't completely use my arms, i cant extend them and it really sucks...you never realize how often you use something until you are unable to :(...
Now lets talk Isabella, she thinks that she is the coolest thing since sliced bread man!!! She is walking and talking up a storm, i think im going to have to make a kids post with all the new phrases that both of them a spewing out on a daily basis, it is really surreal....She is 29 inches long and still she weighs 17 lbs 2 oz...this was as of the 9th of this month at our Wic appointment. She is still uber tiny, but growing....just slowly. She eats more food than Skylair does which is really cute and funny to watch sometimes :D. She is even starting to form sentences or at least it sounds like that to us. I suppose it could just be that Donald and I are crazy and we're hearing things that she isn't really saying....but i doubt that. Also, she is trying to use the potty!! When she has to go, or thinks that she does, she goes to the bathroom and yells "pee pee...pee pee!!!" and we put her on either the big potty or the training potty, whichever one she runs to. Usually she just sits there, but a couple times she had barely missed...meaning she thought she wasn't going to go so she got up off the toilet seat and accidentally went on the floor. It was too funny!! I'm thinking either by the end of summer, or my birthday she will be potty trained. I love how she's doing things at her own pace and just having Donald and I follow her cues. She is really different from Skylair, i wasn't sure how similar and how different they were truly going to be. Of course she has her bratty moments when she'll hit or pinch Sky and have a hissy fit if we tell her no. But usually a teeny time out in the crib seems to remedy that fairly easily. I need to post some pictures, so i think i'll do just a plain old photo blog next....
Now as for Skylair, he is just finishing up his first year of preschool, they had their annual Zoo trip today and he had a blast. Although it was more of a family zoo trip that occasionally ran into his friends at the zoo, after we got in that was. He had fun, but he really needs to improve his listening skills some more....ugh. He has been addicted to us playing Super Mario Sunshine of the GameCube as a family lately, we have tried to limit the time because of how frustrated WE ALL get playing that damned game!! haha. Also, we have been finding some awesome educational games and books lately, and outside toys since the weather is getting nicer and its been so much fun playing all of the time....and even more fun when Isabella is napping Skylair says.HAHAHA....He loves to tell everybody that we have planted a garden in the backyard. We have Corn, Tomatoes, Onions, Cucumbers, Oregeno, Basil, Red Flowers, and Lemongrass. It's growing and growing every week and Skylair loves the science project which is the garden. Everyday we go out there in the morning and in the evening to water the plants and to talk about how they are growing and everything. We started it a bit late this year, we didn't do it until the First of this month when we probably should have started it at the end of April or something. But that's alright, we'll know better next year!!!
Donald and I are planning on going back to school in the fall, or at least just Donald to complete our Degrees. I only have 6 classes left to achieve my Associates Degree, Donald on the other hand has a tad bit more than that....We are exempt from work and school and the moment because of my surgery and not being able to care for the kids myself, but we were thinking if we both went back and took a class or two together it would help us to finish. Isabella will be 18 months in a couple of weeks and she will be able to be in the ECE Center for a few hours a day/class day for Donald and I to be able to go to class and for her to strengthen her interaction skills just a tad more. I think we will try and do it while Skylair is in school as well. And it's such a great thing to teach the kids that it's never too late to go to school, and even Mommy and Daddy go to school to learn as well :D....welp that's all im going to write for now, my arm and hands are getting sore, i'll be back later to do another update with pics and whatnot soon!!!!
